Terms of use

Renard Society is a small, curated register of villas, yachts, and travel experiences across the Mediterranean. The register is operated by Renard Society (hereafter "we" or "Renard"). Renard Society is completing its incorporation as a company in Spain; once registration is complete, our full legal-entity details will be published in our Legal Notice.

These terms govern how you use renardsociety.com and the Sofia conversational agent reachable from this site and from individual operators we partner with. By using the site or speaking to Sofia, you agree to these terms.

Browse the register, save listings, write to Sofia about any property or yacht, and apply to be added to the register as an operator. You do not need an account to do any of this — saving is local to your browser, and writing to Sofia leaves a transcript with the operator who replies to you.

If you reach an operator through us and a transaction follows, that transaction is between you and the operator. We are not a party to it.

Sofia is an AI agent. She is genuinely helpful, but she is not a human, not a regulated advisor, and not a substitute for professional advice. For any binding decision — buying a property, signing a charter, hiring a service — the operator or their licensed counterparts are the source of truth.

Sofia tries to be accurate but can make mistakes. Treat what she says about specifics — taxes, fees, availability, regulations — as a useful starting point that the operator will confirm.

Operators apply via the /apply page. We review every application personally; we are intentionally selective. We do not provide reasons for declines. Approval admits an operator to the Renard register, after which they manage their inventory through the operator command center.

Approved operators are independent businesses. The Renard register surfaces their listings; the contractual relationship with a buyer is theirs, not ours.

Browsing renardsociety.com is free. Operators pay a subscription for the command center and a success fee on closed deals attributed to Renard. These commercial terms are set in the operator agreement and are not part of these public terms.

Do not attempt to access other operators' data, scrape the site at scale, use Sofia to abuse third parties, or attempt to subvert the agent's safety constraints. Misuse can lead us to suspend access without notice and, where serious, to involve law enforcement.

We provide the site and Sofia "as is". To the extent permitted by Spanish law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site, including any transaction you conclude with an operator. This does not limit your statutory consumer rights under Spanish or EU law.

We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version. Material changes are signalled on /legal — continued use after a change means acceptance.

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Disputes are subject to the courts of Málaga, without prejudice to any non-waivable consumer rights.
